Turn your frown upside down,
Santa is almost coming to town!
His sleigh is being polished to make it shine bright,
Elves tinker, sew, and wrap until late in the starry night!
Apples are candied, lists are checked twice,
When it comes to Christmas duties, Santa must be precise.
But there’s still so much to do and time is running out,
“I wished I had some extra help,” Santa shouted out loud!
Now, the best thing about Christmas magic is that it can make wishes come true,
And before Santa could say, “Ho, Ho, Ho!” the Polar Express rode in with a loud “Choo, Choo!”
In it sat Frederick and Sophie with their scout elves side by side, and was that a reindeer?
Zippity Jingle! What were they all doing here?
Frederick shouted, “We’re here to help you wrap, bake, build, and trim everything in sight,”
“That sounds like Jingle Bells to my ears,” Santa replied in delight,
Sophie jumped out of the train and said, “Let’s all get to work, let’s start this merry show,”
“And afterwards we’ll eat cookies and drink hot coco!”
Off they went, helping Santa check his list… there were George’s earmuffs,
And Mr. Johnson’s book about the Royal Hufflepuffs,
There was Parker’s music box, a fire station, and little Olivia’s baby bib,
There were lots of dolls, funny trolls, a drum, and one pirate ship,
A pair of woollen gloves, a fruit cake, and an unusually soft brush with initials on it,
A red wooden coffee machine, socks, shoes, and a watch that’s supposed to make you fit.
A knight’s castle , Royal Express trains, gingerbread men, and a treehouse,
Boardgames about dogs, a Parisian puzzle, and there was also a trunk with a ballet mouse,
There were coloring books, fuzzy monsters, and a pink pram,
A rocking mammoth, a shiny bike, and a rocking lamb.
The merry crew tied bows, sang songs, wrote names on tags,
And they carefully placed the presents in Santa’s magic bags,
They ate cookies, drank hot coco, laughed and laughed some more,
Until it started to snow and they all walked out of the toy workshop’s door…
Soon, Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen would pull Santa’s sleigh through clouds and trees, passing the moon,
But first, the Polar Express had to make sure that Santa’s extra special helpers would get home soon.
Santa gave Frederick and Sophie a big hug and thanked them so much,
He also gave them something for the ride, each a big mug of hot coco and a box filled with caramel and strawberry fudge!
As the Polar Express started moving, full speed ahead, its engines blazing,
Frederick and Sophie waved and gushed, “See you soon, Santa, it was amazing!”
The scout elves held on to their red hats, and all smiled bright,
Santa laughed and shouted loud, “Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas to you! And to all a good night!”
